BMW Group Ireland launches the Future Entrepreneur Competition! Discover how visionary entrepreneurs can win exclusive BMW electric vehicles, a professional photoshoot, and one-on-one mentoring with industry leaders
BMW Group Ireland is thrilled to announce the launch of the BMW Future Entrepreneur Competition, offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to take their business to new heights.
As part of our commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in Ireland, we are seeking two visionary founders and businesses who share our mission, with two entry categories – focused on Innovation and ResponsibilityThe prizes include the exclusive use of a branded BMW iX1 or BMW iX2 electric vehicle for 3 months in 2025, plus a one-on-one entrepreneur mentoring session with renowned entrepreneur Peigin Crowley of Ground Wellbeing.

The winning companies will also receive a professional photoshoot with the fully branded BMW, and featured promotion across BMW Ireland’s social media channels.
To enter, applicants must submit a 3-minute video pitch and complete an entry form answering key questions about their business strategy, alignment with BMW’s values in Innovation or Responsibility and passion for the BMW brand. A panel of industry experts, including representatives from BMW Group Ireland, Ground Wellbeing and Enterprise Ireland will evaluate submissions based on criteria such as innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The winner will be announced at a networking event on July 16, 2025, where they will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and showcase their business.

THE BMW FUTURE ENTREPRENEUR COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to participating in this competition. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
1. The Promoter
The Promoter of this competition is BMW Automotive (Ireland) Limited of Swift Square, Santry Demesne, Dublin 9, D09 R802, Ireland.2. The Prize
The prize includes:
1. The Use of a branded BMW iX2 or iX1 for a 3-month period in 2025, which is mutually agreed by BMW Group Ireland and the Winner.
2. A 1:1 mentoring session with Peigin Crowley, a 2-hour session in person or online decided by both parties.
3. A Photocall at the final event on the 16th July.
4. A professional photo and video shoot with their branded iX2 or iX1
5.Featured promotion on BMW Ireland’s social media channels
6. The prize is subject to availability. The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland, persons aged 23 years or over, hold a valid driving license for 2 years or more, with no driving convictions,. Strong digital presence and sustainability focus. Agree to sign BMW’s vehicle indemnity form for insurance.
3.2 You must be the founder or co-founder of a start-up business (under 5 years old) and a resident in the Republic of Ireland. Employees of the Promoter or its associated companies, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition are not eligible. There is a limit of one entry per household. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
3.3 You must be available to attend a networking lunch event that will be held for shortlisted applicants on 16 July 2025 in Dublin City Centre.
1.Preferred (but not required):
1.1.1 Registered limited legal business entity
1.1.2 Your company has audited company accounts, which verifies the financial health and compliance of the recipient company. It is not expected to submit accounts, just confirm that they are independently audited.
1.2 To qualify to enter:
1.3 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
1.4 The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify you if you tamper with the entry process or the operation of the competition; act in violation of these terms and conditions or your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
2. Entry to the Competition
2.1 The competition will run from 12pm Mid-day on 19.05.2025 (Opening Date) to 12pm Midnight on 15.06.2025 (Closing Date) inclusive.
2.2 Applicants must submit the following;
2.2.1 A 3-minute elevator pitch-style video, introducing themselves and explaining how working with BMW would elevate and support their business.
2.2.2 A completed entry form, answering the following questions within word count listed below:
– Biography & Background. Why did you decide to become an entrepreneur? (100 words)
– What is your business strategy and purpose? (100 words)
– How does the business align with the following BMW values (300 words)

▪ Sustainability
▪ Excellence
– Why do you want to drive the fully electric BMW iX1 or iX2 (100 words)
2.3 All entries must be submitted on the webpage on www.discoverbmw.ie by no later than on the Closing Date. All entries received after 12pm Midnight on the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
2.4 The prize draw is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
2.5 The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges including representatives of BMW Group Ireland and Peigin Crowley through criteria outlined in Section 3 plus an independent judge and will be announced on the 16 July 2025.
3. Judging Panel
3.1 Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of industry and brand experts, including:

– Laura Condron, Communications & Strategy Manager, BMW Group Ireland
– Peigín Crowley, Entrepreneur and Friend of the Brand
– Conor O’Donovan, Enterprise Ireland
3.2 Entrants will be judged on the following criteria
3.3 Each submission will be scored and measured by the panel across the following 10 criteria, using a 1–10 scale for each, adding to 100%;
– Video submission – Their passion for BMW
– Why they decided to become an entrepreneur
– What is their business strategy and purpose
– How does the business align with Innovation
– How does the business align with Sustainability
– How does the business align with Excellence
– Why do they want to drive the fully electric BMW iX2
– Content Creation on Instagram
– Content Creation on LinkedIn
– Brand presence online e.g. WebsiteThe highest-scoring applicant will be selected as the winner and announced at the BMW Future Entrepreneurs networking lunch on 16th July 2025.
4. The Promoter does not accept:
4.1 Responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
4.2 Proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
4.3 Responsibility if the Competition is not capable of running as planned for any reason including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition.
5. Winners and Publicity
5.1 The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
5.2 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the entry.
5.3 The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 5 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
5.4 The Promoter must either publish or make available details of the name and county of residence of prize-winners. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the name and county of the prize winners to anyone who emails eventsireland@bmw.ie within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to you or any third party, or accept any liability for, any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of entry into the competition or taking up the prize. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Data Protection
The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in its privacy notice at https://www.BMW.ie/privacy. See also Condition 5. with regard to the announcement of winners.
8. General
8.1 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
8.2 The Promoter reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operating errors at any time.
8.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
